Welcome to the 2 nd International Conference on Economics, Business, Management, and Accounting (ICEBesMA), to be held virtually on 5 th - 6 th December 2024, at Medan, Sumatera Utara, Indonesia.

As we enter 2024, the urgency of addressing climate change has become more pronounced than ever. Business leaders across the globe, including CEOs from various industries, recognize that climate change is not merely an environmental issue but a significant economic challenge that impacts their operations, supply chains, and overall business sustainability. The escalating effects of climate change, such as extreme weather events, resource scarcity, and regulatory pressures, are compelling businesses to reconsider their strategies and adopt more sustainable practices.

Theme of "Leadership for Sustainability Issues in Economics" for The 2nd International Conference on Economics, Business, Management, and Accounting is rooted in the understanding that the current climate crisis demands a new breed of leadership – one that is innovative, resilient, and forward-thinking. Traditional leadership models are no longer sufficient to navigate the complexities of today's business landscape. Instead, there is a growing need for leaders who can integrate sustainability into the core of their business strategies, driving both economic growth and environmental stewardship.

Academic institutions recognize their crucial role in this transformative journey. By hosting this conference in 5th to 6th December 2024 in Medan – Indonesia, we aim to bridge the gap between academic research and practical business applications. Academics can provide valuable insights, theoretical frameworks, and empirical evidence that guide effective leadership in sustainability. This collaboration is essential to develop comprehensive solutions that address the intertwined challenges of economic development and environmental sustainability.
